On June 21, 2021, Wyatt Whitford of Bonnyville was sentenced to 75 days of pre-sentence custody for stealing and damaging a truck in the area of Andrew, Alberta. Whitford had stolen the truck, then dumped it when he noticed that police were following him. He was arrested in the Bonnyville area after some astute work by Cst. Robert Eberly who recognized him from the video in the bait truck.

Police commonly use bait vehicles to catch thieves and the Two Hills RCMP are no exception.
