Two Hills, Alta. — Two local organizations are receiving a funding boost to support important community projects, thanks to Vision Credit Union’s Helping Hand Grants program.

The Two Hills Hospital Foundation and Two Hills School have each been awarded $5,000 as part of the initiative, which supports capital projects in rural communities.

In total, 44 organizations across Alberta were selected this year, with more than $250,000 distributed through the program. Grants of up to $10,000 are awarded to help improve facilities, purchase essential equipment, and enhance community spaces.

“Helping Hand Grants is one of the most meaningful ways we give back to the communities we serve,” said Vision Credit Union CEO Steve Friend. “Every year, we’re inspired by the creative and caring ways local groups use these grants to improve life in rural Alberta.”

Now in its fourth year, the program is open to eligible organizations in communities served by Vision Credit Union’s 24 branches. Applications are reviewed by a selection committee and evaluated based on the overall benefit to the community.

Vision Credit Union serves more than 38,000 members across Alberta and has grown over 75 years from a single branch in Camrose into one of the province’s largest credit unions, with assets exceeding $2.6 billion.
