Canada's beef industry will come together this August as producers, researchers, veterinarians, students and industry leaders gather for the 2026 Canadian Beef Industry Conference (CBIC).
Scheduled for August 17 to 20 at the RBC Convention Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba, the biennial conference is recognized as Canada's premier event dedicated to the country's beef sector. The conference provides an opportunity for attendees to explore new research, discuss emerging challenges, share practical knowledge and strengthen relationships across the industry.
The Beef Cattle Research Council (BCRC), a founding partner of the conference, says CBIC highlights the research, innovation and leadership helping build a strong and competitive Canadian beef industry.
This year's conference comes as beef producers continue to navigate changing market conditions, weather uncertainty, evolving consumer expectations and advances in agricultural technology. During the conference banquet, the BCRC will present the Canadian Beef Industry Award for Outstanding Research and Innovation, recognizing a researcher whose leadership, mentorship and contributions have helped advance Canada's beef industry through innovation and scientific research.
